Since the arrival of KitKat 4.4 from Google phone makers have been trying to be among the first to get the update rolled out onto their devices. Motorola and HTC have done a good job as they have told owners about plans for the update; Samsung on the other hand has been keeping quiet.
Samsung have a lot of different devices to roll out KitKat 4.4 to as it supports handsets with smaller memory. We did hear from iTechAddict who said that Samsung will roll out the update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in January. It was also said that the update would land on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 along with the Samsung Galaxy S3 in April.
At the moment owners of these devices may want to take this news with caution as we have not heard this from Samsung. But owners of the devices are asking if the update is going to arrive with all carriers at the same time or just some of them. We do know that Samsung put a stop to the update at AT&T for the Samsung Galaxy S4 due to issues.
Fans of Samsung have been saying that it is about time Samsung changed TouchWiz as it does weigh down the devices.
