Australia Won’t See Pirate Bay For Much Longer

One of the biggest names in the list is The Pirate Bay. Aussies who have been relying on this torrent website revealed that it was due to the original arriving late. It seems that the culprits have a point as most new contents from the US often arrive much later to Australia.

The coming of the new law started with the many companies that have been complaining to the ISP in the country. However, their complain fell on deaf ears. As such, the government came to their aid and took action.

Two proposals are expected to be discussed by the cabinet. The first will see the threatening of file-sharers via letters to discourage them from continue the copyright infringing act. The second will be the complete block of file-sharing websites by every ISP in Australia.

The law is expected to be in full effect by June next month. However, it won’t be enough to stop the users. There are countless VPNs Aussies can utilize to bypass the law. Of course, there is a risk of getting caught and if that happens, there is no way out of it.
