AT&T HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat Update Joins Europe Rollout

T-Mobile announced the update to KitKat 4.4 for the HTC One and AT&T were close behind not wanting to be left out. The update over at T-Mobile started last Friday and AT&T launched their update on Sunday.

The unlocked versions of the HTC One, the developer edition and Google Play Edition were both updated in December and now HTC should be focusing on getting the update out for foreign variants of the HTC One. They should also be sending out the update for the HTC One Max and the HTC One Mini. Thanks to the HTC Advantage program the HTC One, One Max and the Mini will get updates for another year.

HTC One owners with AT&T are on KitKat 4.4.2 build 4.18.502.7 and of course HTC Sense 5.5 UI comes with enhancements to security, a cloud print service and Bluetooth profiles. The update is being sent out OTA, however users who are impatient are able to check for the update in Settings – About phone – Software updates.

Over in Europe the update to KitKat 4.4.is continuing with HTC UK saying on Twitter the HTC One update is coming to owners devices. The unlocked version is included along with versions on Vodafone, Three and O2. We have also heard that Android 4.4 will be arriving on the HTC One over in Spain, Italy, France and Germany.

The KitKat 4.4 update started in late January when it appeared on the HTC One over in Latvia, Norway, Finland, Russia, Spain and the Czech Republic.
