Chevrolet has been leading the green market ever since they brought in the 2017 Chevrolet Volt but they might not want to get too comfortable out there because Toyota is more than ready to give them a run for their model.
As impressive as the Chevrolet Volt is, the Toyota Prius Prime is not an easy opponent to take down as well. Toyota manages to double the range of their Prius and that should help out a lot.
The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime comes with a new electric range that is double what the previous model was offering. The new 8.8kWh battery also helps the Prius gain more with the federal incentive.
With all the upgrades that the Prius has gotten, the Volt will find that keeping the Prius Prime at bay is not going to be as easy as it looks. The arrival of the Bolt might help a little but we think the Prius Prime will end up being the ultimate winner.
