The fight between Ford, Renault and Peugeot is getting even tighter now that Ford has decided to release an even more impressive version of the Ford Fiesta. Coming in with an upgraded powertrain, the Ford Fiesta ST200 is one step above the Fiesta ST model. Will the Renaultsport Clio 200 be able to stand their ground?
The Renaultsport Clio 200 comes in with a 1.6-liter engine that will be delivering about 200bhp and 177lb ft of torque and will be mated to an auto transmission. The vehicle will be able to go from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 143mph.
The new Ford Fiesta ST200, on the other hand, will be fitted with a 1.6 liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that will be delivering about 197hp on average but is able to deliver about 212bhp and 236lb ft of torque with the over boost feature. Like the Clio 200, the Ford Fiesta ST200 will only need 6.7 seconds to go from 0-62mph with a possible top speed of 143mph as well.
