The Peugeot 208 GTi had to compete with rivals like the Renault Sport Clio 200 but it looks like they will be facing a new rival soon as Ford prepares to bring in the Ford Fiesta ST200.
The new Ford Fiesta ST200 will be coming in with a 1.6 liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that will be delivering about 197bhp or 200PS which is a huge upgrade from the standard model. With the over boost function, the Fiesta ST200 will be able to deliver about 212bhp and 236lb ft of torque. Thanks to the upgrade, the Ford Fiesta ST200 will only need 6.7 seconds to go from 0-62mph.
The Peugeot 208 GTi, on the other hand, will be coming in with a 1.6-liter THP turbocharged petrol engine that will be able to deliver up to 208hp. The engine will allow the Peugeot 208 GTi to go from 0-62mph in 6.5seconds, 0.2seconds faster than the Ford Fiesta ST200.
