Mazda was at the Geneva Motor Show where they showed off the new Mazda RX-Vision concept. With the new Kodo design language, the RX-Vision is a beauty and we can’t help but wish Mazda would just get on with it and start working on a new RX model based on the concept.
The issue is not with the design or the demand for the RX model but the 16X rotary engine. Mazda is still trying to improve the engine so that it will be more fuel efficient and has a lower fuel emission rate. They are also working to improve the reliability of the engine.
The RX model will only be given a thumbs up if they manage to find a solution to that problem so there is nothing Mazda can really do right now. We also got to see the 2016 Mazda3 model at the Geneva Motor Show as well.
