Last November saw the arrival of the next-gen consoles, the Sony PS4 and the Microsoft Xbox One. Back then, the PS4 came out with a price tag of £329 while the Xbox One is priced at a higher fee.
Months later, the PS4 dominated its rival as it sold more units than the Xbox One. Microsoft realized that things aren’t doing well and decided to remove the Kinect hardware to ensure that the console is prized at £329 as well. In fact, purchasing the Xbox One will bless the gamer with one free game.
Like how it was with previous generation consoles, we can expect both the Xbox One and PS4 to be much cheaper during Christmas this year. As such, it is best to wait until then before purchasing the next-gen console.
From the technical point of view, the PS4 run games at 1080p native resolution. The Xbox One is rumoured to only be at 720p, although Microsoft claims that the fault is with game makers that failed to fully utilize the console’s power. This also explains why getting the PS4 is still the better option.
While the console from Sony is the obvious choice here, we don’t actually recommend rushing the customers to make their purchase. Waiting is a rewarding act and doing so will surely help between deciding between the Xbox One and PS4.
