Mazda had just launched the next-generation Mazda 3 and it is described as one of the most reliable, efficient and stylish compact sedans in history. Today we are going to look at what the Mazda 3 has got to offer.
For starters, the car comes equipped with Mazda’s latest driving technology called SkyActiv. The latter basically improves the Mazda 3’s handling while also maximizing every drop of fuel. True enough, the compact sedan swerves through the sharp turns with ease while also returning an impressive petrol mileage.
On the downside of things, comfort has been absent on the Mazda 3. Even when cruising at low speed, the car produces so much wind noise and tyre noise that it frustrates us. Also, the Mazda 3 feels underpowered as it requires high-revs to force out the shy ponies. In short, the Mazda 3 feels weaker than rivals Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.
Now, it is time for the verdict. The Mazda 3 offered us a thrilling driving experience and great savings in petrol. Of course, this is at the cost of comfort.
Speaking of cost, the compact sedan is one of the most expensive in its segment. We feel that this is a mistake from Mazda as for that same amount; one can get a better car. On the other hand, Mazda claims that the Mazda 3 is appropriately priced due to the SkyActiv technology.
