Late last year, Subaru launched the all-new Crosstrek XV. Unfortunately, it didn’t manage to sell well which made it a flop in Subaru’s book. Now, rumours are suggesting that the XV will soon be updated with a new model that is based on the Viziv 2 Concept seen on the recent Geneva Motor Show.
The rumour might just come true as it pointed out that the Viziv 2 is about the same size as the Crosstrek XV and also shares some of the same elements with the latest crossover. On the other hand, the study sports two exotic-opening rear doors and butterfly style doors in the front.
The Viziv 2’s design is also something really stylish as it comes with the new grille from Subaru, hawkeye headlights, and full wheel arches.
Under the hood, the Concept is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged F4 paired with an electric motor. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission that will channel the ponies to the car’s front wheels. The electric motor, on the other hand, will act independently on the rear wheels. Thus, the Viziv 2 is an AWD.
Furthermore, Subaru will only make one vehicle per segment and with the Concept and the XV having the same size, either one will get axed or both will be fused together to create an awesome crossover.
