Jeep has long dominated the US 4×4 market but their streak might soon come to an end after Chevrolet unveiled the Niva. The compact crossover concept made its debut at the Moscow Motor Show last week and it was among the main attractions at the motoring event.
For starters, the Niva is something really small, like a B-segment vehicle. However, the size does not matter when consumers discovered the sort of powertrain that it drives on. Of course, this is still subject to confirmation by Chevrolet.
As for the parts and features, the Niva is well-equipped as ti comes with BFGoodrich tires, a winch, snorkel, underbody cladding, tow hooks, integrated lamp guards, auxiliary lighting and roof rack.
On the other hand, Chevrolet actually created the Niva together with Russian auto manufacturer, Lada. The latter has been closely working with General Motors for more than a decade and seeing them teaming up again is not surprising at all.
When the Niva gets released, it will be looking to compete with the Jeep Renegaede.
