2015 Honda Civic Type R: Breaking Records Even When Not Out

We are months away from the unveiling of the next Honda Civic Type-R and it is tipped to be something revolutionary. Honda did a superb job in hiding the Type-R away from the eyes of the public. This also leaves the masses clueless on how the car will look like.

Despite that fact, Honda teased the fans by saying that the Civic Type-R will look near-identical to its concept which was unveiled earlier this year.

Just a month ago, Honda called out 200 lucky Type-R owners to test drive the upcoming vehicle at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The feedback couldn’t be more positive and Honda is pleased with it. Although, the 200 strong did reveal their hope for the Type-R to look exactly like its Concept.

At the moment, nobody have the details on how the Type-R will perform. The only thing we know is that the vehicle is going to be the world’s fastest front-wheel drive hatchback. After all, Honda bragged that a recent test on the Nurnberg-ring crowned the Civic Type-R as the fastest FWD car to race on the road.

Of course, the record was created even when the Civic Type-R is not released yet. When it does, the sports hatchback will be looking to be the biggest challenge the Ford Fiesta’s successful streak.
