We got to see the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 concept a few years back when Chevrolet showed it off at the show and while they did not announce whether it was going to be a production or not, everybody assume that it was but not, years later and still no news on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. Were they just joking when they brought out the teaser or is one really in the making?
If the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 was to get a greenlight, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 will be coming in to compete with some of the larger trucks in the market like the Ford F-150 model and more. At the show, the truck was powered by a 2.8 liter Duramax turbo diesel four cylinder engine that delivered about 181hp and 169lb ft of torque. The engine was mated to a six-speed transmission but some say that it will most likely come with an eight-speed auto transmission now if it does go into production.
There is no word on when we will be seeing the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 make it into the market but with sure hope it does.
