Over the last couple of years or so, Porsche has been offering a diesel mill with their new vehicles. The latest Macan is a perfect example of this move from the German carmaker which provoked our curiosity.
After some intense digging, we realized that the diesel engine for the Macan is truly beyond our expectation. It offers 335bhp from the 3L Twin-Turbo V6 diesel engine. Furthermore, the motor is 10mpg more efficient than the petrol variant.
Of course, power is depleted due to the vehicle running on diesel. Unlike the petrol mill which produces maximum power at 5,500rpm, the diesel mill is only capable of 580Nm from 1,500rpm. Then again, this is still powerful and very impressive.
Surprisingly, the diesel engine also offers quite a quiet driving experience. In addition to that, the Macan diesel, like the petrol, swerves on the road bends like a professional sports car.
Porsche had just created a benchmark in the trending diesel market. The consumers are aware of it which is why most of the orders are for the diesel Porsche Macan. Getting the petrol variant will be a huge mistake.
