With Tesla working on adding in new features like allowing users to call their Tesla to them, they will have to solve the issue of the vehicle being plug into the cable and it looks like their solution is to go wireless.
Most of the users said that the calling their Tesla features is useless since their Tesla will be plug in most of the time. It was said that Tesla is working on a robotic arm that will unplug the car for you but before that happens, Tesla is asking you to charge your car wirelessly for now.
Evatran is now offering a new inductive charging pad for the Tesla models. Details like pricing have not been announcing yet but they did announce that pre-orders are starting now and that the pads for the rear wheel drive models will be released in April.
Owners will need to install a 50amp circuit for the 7.2kW system and is said to offer about 20miles for every hour the car is charging wirelessly. As nice as it is to charge without the cable, we think that the pad is just not efficient enough.
