Alfa Romeo has long revealed that they plan to offer a CUV in the near future but no name was ever announced until now. According to Alfa Romeo, the upcoming new Alfa Romeo CUV will be called Stelvio and the good news is that we won’t have to wait that long.
Alfa Romeo added that the Alfa Romeo Stelvio will be arriving in Europe early 2017 which means we might be seeing it next summer. However, with all the delays that have been happening, we will only believe it when we see the car in the showrooms.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio should be coming in with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be pushing out about 276hp. It Stelvio will most likely be riding on a modified Giulia platform. Some think that the 2.9-liter twin turbo V6 will also be making its way to the Stelvio but we have not heard from Alfa Romeo yet.
