The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been out for some time now and there is no doubt that the handset is very powerful. It comes with top of the range specs and it offers a lot. But there are some things that people perhaps don’t know about the device and here are 10 of them.
The device can be operated with just one hand. You can check this option out under Sound and Display settings and make the display shrink to what you want. When the display is smaller the handset is easier to operate using just one hand.
When used in harsh environmental conditions the display can sometimes become unresponsive. The Samsung Galaxy S5 can get around this though if you head into the display settings and turn on high screen sensitivity mode.
If you don’t want to be disturbed you can use the Blocking mode on the device, this is hidden away in Personalisation settings.
If you don’t like Flipboard, which now has the name of My Magazine, you can hold down on the home screen and then head to settings and disable it.
You don’t have to swipe left and right on the display to get to the different widgets, you can just tap on the number indicator and this takes you to the correct page.
If you have a lot of files on your handset you can use the S Finder to find them.
Did you know that you can choose to have different wallpaper on the home screen and lockscreen?
When you see the OK Google search bar you can just talk to your device to make calls, search the device or send a message.
The Toolbox shortcut is superb and is much like the chat head of Facebook, instead of conversations this is for customisable shortcuts.
