Sony fans have been looking forward to launch of the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact and we have now received more details about the device. Sony announced the Xperia A2 for NTT DoCoMo on the website in Japan not long ago.
It may be that the Xperia A2 might be the Z2 Compact which people have been waiting to get. The Sony Xperia Z1 came out first in Japan under the name of the Z1 Compact before it made its way around the rest of the world. Therefore the A2 is believed to follow the same path.
The Sony Xperia A2 comes with a 4.3 inch Triluminos display of 1280 x 720p resolution. It includes the quad core 2.2GHz processor together with 2GB of RAM, has a 2.2MP camera on the front, a 20.7MP camera on the back, a 2300mAh battery and 16GB of internal storage with additional support for SD card.
The device weighs 138 grams and measures 128x65x9.7mm, which obviously reminds us a lot of the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact. The handset will most likely be water and dust proof as well.
It does sound very likely that the Sony Xperia A2 may be the Z2 compact, even though it has not been officially confirmed yet.
