At the moment Sony handsets have been getting hold of Android 4.4.2 but Sony are already working on the roadmap for KitKat 4.4.4.
Devices that Sony has said will be updated include the Sony Xperia X, SP, T TX and the V. At the same time Sony said that their version of KitKat 4.4.4 will be different and it will not be just the Android ROM. It appears that Sony has included some of the features of the Sony Xperia Sirius along with the Z1.
Changes that will come with the update are two new user interfaces, along with camera modes, a new design for the home screen, battery manager, Background Defocus, Timeshift video and Close All. The latter is for the Smart App. There is also going to be Recent Apps, Smart Backlight, double tap to wake, white balance and better call handling.
Other features that are said to come from the Sony Xperia Sirius include audio accessory support, S Force audio, Clear Audio, X Loud engine and plenty of customisation.
One of the best features that people are said to be looking forward to is the Stamina mode. This is said to make the battery last longer.
