Samsung has this habit of making countless variants of its flagship devices. The latest Samsung Galaxy S5 is a perfect example of that as it welcomes yet another sibling, the Galaxy S5 Activ.
Today, smartphone enthusiasts start pulling their hair out after Sprint announces the all-new Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport. It leaves the masses wondering the need for this new model when there is already an Activ.
The announcement of the S5 sport created quite a huge buzz in the smartphone industry that Sprint is forced out to reveal that the device is actually the S5 Activ. It has been renamed to make it a Sprint exclusive. With that in mind, there are bound to be some changes from the original Activ.
Well, there is actually something different about the S5 Sport. It appears to have a more textured casing than the original Galaxy S5. Aside from that, Sprint threw in six months of Spotify and a year of MapMyFitness MVP for its Galaxy S5 Sport customers.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is offered in either blue or red, and it will be on sale from 25 July onwards. The device will be priced at $27.09 for 24 months with Easy Pay and getting the smartphone on its release date will entitle customers to a $50 discount for the Gear Fit.
