The latest HTC One M8 is one of the best smartphones ever created. It is fast, productive and beautiful at the same time. However, it seems that many phone reviewers are bashing the One M8’s camera.
Unless you’ve heard, HTC fitted the 4MP Ultrapixel dual-camera on the One M8. Yes, the pixel count is still stuck in the year 2010 but it is finely tuned to take pictures like a professional. We’ve personally tested it out and it does produce high quality snap shots.
Another thing to note is the fact that smartphone cameras are not supposed to be a pure camera. The best standard it can achieve is to that of a compact digital camera. If consumers are really too fussy over the picture quality, then they should consider getting a DSLR for a change and stop exaggerating the need for smartphone cameras to be more than just a point-and-shoot device.
It is true that the One M8’s camera can do better if HTC gave it more pixel counts. The Ultrapixel feature has been thoroughly superb. Then again, it is not like anyone on social media actually zooms in at every uploaded image to spot the pixels.
