Last September saw the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it was deemed to be the best phablet to date. That was until a month later when Nokia unleashed the Lumia 1520 which challenges the Note 3 in every way. Here is the stats comparison.
By size, the Lumia 1520 is larger than the Note 3. The former offers a display that measure at 6” while the latter measures at 5.7”. Thanks to the smaller screen on the Note 3, it produces 386ppi, which is slightly more than the 367ppi recorded on the Lumia. Nonetheless, the LCD display on the Lumia is spectacular.
However, the 3,400mAh battery on the Lumia 1520 couldn’t last longer than the 3,200mAh battery on the Galaxy Note 3. This is due to the larger screen which requires more power to operate.
Behind the casing, the Lumia 1520 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz with 2GB RAM. This is similar to the Note 3 but the smartphone from Samsung is able to produce better clocking speed. Also, it has 3GB RAM which is more than the Lumia.
Both devices are equipped with the best cameras around. The Lumia in particular offers a whopping 20MP rear shooter. However, the lack of features makes it inferior to the 13MP camera on the Note 3.
The Note 3 lands the killer blow as it comes with the S Pen and the Android OS, which simplifies multi-tasking. As great as the Lumia may be, it lacks the features to overpower the Note 3. Nevertheless, it is still something impressive from Nokia.
