US owners of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been given KitKat 4.4, but once again, this excludes Verizon customers!
Samsung initially rolled out the update to Galaxy S4 owners on Sprint, then diverted to Galaxy S4 handsets overseas – which is something of a reversal of the usual proceedings.
The update rolled out over the course of several weeks, and while Verizon customers are used to waiting longer than others, they are surprised by the length of this latest delay.
Four of Verizon’s competitors have got KitKat already, so the carrier needs to get a shift on. We have heard that the OS is being tested in-company, but Verizon does like to take its time before a roll-out.
Previously, Verizon announces a roll-out on its update page and then releases to new OS OTA on the same day. It does take time for this to happen, and there’s usually no rhyme or reason to the time frame.
However, customers believe that Verizon has had enough time now and are getting a bit fed up of lagging behind smaller networks like C Spire and Crickets.
