The pick-up truck market has been rather slow lately, which explains why Chevrolet is planning to give the Colorado a new successor. Doing so will surely make the Colorado an instant hit as there are no good pick-up trucks to challenge it.
Both Ram and Ford has been inactive, the Toyota Tacoma has been poor and the Nissan Frontier has been lacking some next-gen updates.
The Colorado will be looking to capitalize on this by coming with a hydroformed steel frame. This will make the vehicle sturdier than ever. The Colorado will come with two petrol engines to choose from, with a possible diesel engine option as well. Word has it that it will be a 2.5litre inline 4-cylinder engine but new rumours suggest it to be the 3.6litre V6.
For a pick-up truck, the Colorado is surprisingly stylish, which is rare in this segment. It has a huge gunmetal grille and two-tier loading system.
Inside the cabin, there is an 8” touchscreen that operates on MyLink software. There is also a 3.4” display which share details like fuel consumption. In addition to that, the Colorado has 6 airbags for the safety of the passengers.
