Christmas is coming early for LG G2 users on Verizon. The old smartphone can now be updated to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat via OTA.
On the downside however, the KitKat is an unofficial build and getting it might require the users to put on some skilful gloves. To update the G2, users need to have basic knowledge for ADB.
If so, then users can start downloading the flash stock ROM build VS98012B. Once done, G2 users on the Big Red will have to root the firmware. AutoPrime is highly recommended to complete the rooting.
Following that, users will need to download the Bin file and rename it. Drag the Bin file into a specific folder in the G2 and key in the commands in ADB. Users will know that they are right when the G2 reboot into the KitKat.
It is not a difficult process at all but it can get pretty tedious. As mentioned before, this is only meant for the LG G2 on Verizon. Other devices should stay away from even trying it out.
