The Google Pixel might be great smartphones but it is far from perfect. Users are now reporting that their Google Pixel might have a hardware issue. The problem has been reported by Pixel and Pixel XL users.
According to some of the users, the microphones on the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL might stop working entirely. They added that the mic will work when you are recording video but other than that, it will not work.
A few users have also tried factory resetting the phone but reported that the issue did not go away. This suggests that the problem might be with the hardware and not the software of the Pixel.
Google has since acknowledge the issue and agreed that it was a hardware issue and added that they will work to make sure the mic connections are reinforced so that the problem won’t happen again.
Those experiencing this issue right now are advice to seek an RMA or contact your retailer.
