The new Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat will get a new turbocharged engine soon. At the moment, both cars are equipped with the HEMI 6.2-liter V8 engine 707 horsepower and 880Nm of torque.
Naturally, the V8 aspirated 6.4-liter engine offers up to 485 horsepower and 644Nm of torque. When the Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat are made available, they will come with the four-cylinder twin-turbo or six-cylinder with twin-turbo engine.
However, it is still a long way to go until the news can be turned into reality. The turbocharged engines for the Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat is said to be arrived only in 2019.
When both of the cars are turbocharged, the Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat should be more efficient and offer more fuel efficiency.
