We have seen the success of Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and fans on the next-gen consoles certainly can’t wait to see what 4J Studios have in store for them with the upcoming Minecraft for both the Xbox One and the PS4.
Now, the fog is clearing up as the game developer gave the world a glimpse on how Minecraft will look like when running on the world’s best gaming consoles. The reveal was made on 4J Studios Twitter and it puts the PS4 and Xbox One against their respective predecessor.
The obvious difference is with the viewing distance. Players can draw further viewing distance on both next-gen consoles when compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The Minecraft world on the Xbox One and PS4 will also be much larger than their counterparts. However, it won’t be infinite like those on the PC.
Finally, players will be able to transfer saved worlds from the PS3/Xbox 360 to the Xbox One/ PS4. This is important as starting from scratch will be a major pain. On top of that, it actually creates a platform for Minecraft players on the current gen to switch to the next-gen without any worries.
