The Jeep Renegade will have even more to offer after it gets the upgrade for 2017 as it has now been reported that Jeep will be looking to add in a new turbo engine to the lineup.
The Jeep Renegade will come powered by a 2.4 liter Tigershark engine that will be delivering about 184hp. Besides that engine, Jeep also offered the 1.4 liters Multiair turbocharged engine that will deliver about 160hp.
For 2017, Jeep will also offer a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged MJD II engine as an option. The new engine will be more powerful than the 1.6-liter Multijet diesel engine. While they did mention that it will be more powerful, they did not reveal the actual numbers for the engine.
It is said that the new engine was added to sweeten the deal for when the Jeep Renegade heads to India.
