Ford surprise us all when they announce that the Ford F-150 Raptor was going to be an aluminum truck. Poeple were a little skeptical about the upgrade but it looks like it all paid out for Ford as the Ford F-150 become the top pickup truck of the year. However, their competitors are not that far away, models like the Chevrolet Silverado can still hold its own against the Ford F-150 Raptor. If you were to pick a winner, which truck will you pick?
The Ford F-150 base model will be powered bt a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 282hp. There is also a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that will be offering about 325hp. There is also a 375hp and 385hp engine for those looking for a little more kick. The there is the top of the range Raptor engine which is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 450hp. The Ford F-150 most fuel efficient model will return about 19mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway.
The Chevrolet Silverado, on the other hand, will be powered by a 4.3-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 285hp. There is also a 5.3-liter V8 engine that will be offering about 355hp and a 6.2-liter V8 engine that will be offering about 420hp. The Chevrolet Silverado will return about 18mpg in the city and 24mpg on the highway.
