Passenger and commercial vehicles with the EA 189 2.0-litre EU5-compliant four-cylinder diesel engines need to get ready for Volkswagen Australia is recalling over 83, 593 cars for the global dieselgate scandal.
VGA will collaborate with the government authorities to take care of this matter and they are waiting for further information from the Volkswagen head office. With the bad news coming to Volkswagen car owners, they cannot send in their car yet but to wait until next year for Volkswagen Group to set up for a technical solution. Besides Volkswagen, other car affected with this issue is the Skoda-badged vehicles.
Out of the eighty thousands cars recalled, nearly 62, 000 are Volkswagen-badged behicles, including the Golf, Polo, Passat, Passat CC, Jetta, Eos, Tiguan, and CC, all of them were manufactured between 2008 and 2015.
The Skoda-branded cars also use the EA189 2.0 litre diesel engines, and among the models affected are the Skoda Superb, Octavia and Yeti, which were manufactured between 2009 and 2015. Even though this issue only involves the Volkswagen Australia, we’re sure that other Volkswagen owners in our country are disturbed by what is going on.
