As exciting as the Pokemon Go app was at the start, the fans got bored of it pretty fast especially when some of the features that Niantic promised were not in the app. The only way to get the fans back into the game was to bring in the new Pokemon and that is exactly what Niantic is doing.
Niantic announces that players will not get an additional 80 Pokemon to catch and that will include the three starters Pokemon from the Johto league, Chikorite, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. Besides getting some new Pokemon to catch, the update will also bring in a few new berries and new evolution items.
There will be two new berries. Nanab Berry can be used to slow a Pokemon’s movement while Pinap Berry can be used to double the amount of candy received when you catch the Pokemon in your next attempt.
We are still waiting for Niantic to offer the battling features and trading features but it looks like that will not be happening in these next upgrades.
