The Toyota Prius might still be one of the most popular green car in the market right now but they are definitely not the best.
According to EPA, the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel sedan is way more fuel efficient than the Toyota Prius. The agency reported that the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel will be able to return about 52mpg on the highway when mated to a six-speed manual transmission. They also added that the Cruze Diesel will be able to go for 700miles on a full tank of diesel.
We know that the most efficient Toyota Prius returns about 50mpg right now. While it still pretty impressive, it is still less than what the Cruze Diesel will be offering.
The Chevrolet Cruze Diesel model will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine that will be offering about 137hp and 240lb ft of torque. The base model will retail for $24,670.
