You would think that since Mass Effect Andromeda is created by Bioware, they would look at one of their own games for answers but according to Fabrice Condominas, the Producer of the game, that was not what happened with Mass Effect Andromeda.
Instead of looking for answers in games like the latest Dragon Age game, he reveals that they looked at The Witcher 3 for answers instead. They are hoping that the Witcher 3 will give them a better understanding as to how the sidequest can help enhance the gaming experience and not distract the players from the main story of the game.
It is pretty common to find side quest in Mass Effect that is better than the main story and they have been getting a lot of heat because of that. That did not happen in The Witcher 3.
It will be interesting to see if they manage to replicate what CDPR has done with the Witcher 3. The new Mass Effect Andromeda will be arriving on the 21st of March and will be released on the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
