We already know that Ford was looking to give the Ford Expedition the same kind of upgrade that they gave the Ford F-150 and now, we finally got to see what the upgraded Expedition looks like.
Ford made a few significant changes to the exterior of the Ford Expedition. They gave it a softer design. The Expedition is also longer and wider now. Under the hood is a 3.5 liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine that will be mated to a 10-speed auto transmission. The powertrain will be offering about 375hp and 470lb ft of torque.
On the inside, the vehicle will come with techs like the 8inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. 12volt plugs, 110-volt AC outlet and more.
Standard safety features that will be coming with the Expedition includes lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors and so much more.
Thanks to the material upgrade, the Ford Expedition is now 300 pounds lighter than before. The Expedition is currently one of the biggest aluminium-bodied production models in the market. We can expect to see the Ford Expedition at the Chicago Auto Show this month.
