Ford Use Blackberry To Replace Microsoft

Ford have decided that time has run out for Microsoft and that they will now be relying on Blackberry to produce Sync 3. More precicely, Sync 3 will now by run by the Blackberry QNX. However it’s not all bad news for Microsoft as they are still going to be doing Sync 3’s updates.

Future updates are going to be developed by Blackberry, however they will be held at Microsoft’s Azure Cloud servers before being sent over to the Sync 3 system. It is also thanks to Microsoft that the Sync 3 is able to have Wi-Fi connectivity.

At this moment in time Sync 3 is in its final stages of development and is expected to be released next year. The Myford Touch system will be fully replaced with the new infotainment system which is going to make its debut on the 2016 Lincoln and Ford cars.
