One of the biggest surprises Mazda had for their Mazda CX-5 fans this year was that the Mazda CX-5 will be coming in with a diesel engine option. Volkswagen is still working to clean up the mess they made with their diesel models and a lot of automakers are trying to avoid bringing their diesel powered models into the US.
The diesel engine should help improve the fuel economy of the Mazda CX-5 significantly. Despite the benefit of owning a diesel powered Mazda CX-5, some consumers are saying that none of that will matter if the Mazda CX-5 ends up coming without a manual option.
According to some of the consumers, they would rather forget about the diesel-powered Mazda CX-5 if they have to drive with an auto transmission. We still do not know if Mazda is going to offer their Mazda CX-5 with a stick shift or not so we will have to wait and see.
