It is all about performance now as automakers try to outperform each other by coming out with Sportier versions of their vehicles.
We know that Honda has plans to release the Honda Civic SI model although nobody knows when the powerful version will be arriving but it looks like it will not get it easy when it arrives as new report suggest that Hyundai is also working to come out with a new Hyundai Elantra Sport version based on their all-new Hyundai Elantra.
It is believed that the Hyundai Elantra Sport version will be coming in with a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine that will be delivering about 200hp. That is about 53hp more than the standard model which now comes with a 147hp 2.0 liter four cylinder engine. It has been reported that the Sport version will come with a six-speed manual transmission.
There were also rumors that a hatchback Sport is also part of the plan.
