2014 MacBook Air: Does It Live Up To The Hype?

Despite that fact, there isn’t a big different between the current Macbook Air models and that of last year. In a performance test with Geekbench, the 2014 Mackbook Air that runs on the Intel I5 processor clocked at 1.4GHz scored 2532 in the single core test and 4781 in the multi core test. This is slightly better than the 2461 and 4615 scores recorded by its predecessors.

Both the old and the new Macbook Air come with the same 11.6 inch display. However, the battery life on the new models are much improved on and is able to offer 3 extra hours of iTunes play when compared to the older models.

It might sound disappointing that the 2014 Macbook Air are merely upgrades of the past but the positive is that it drags down the price tag of all Macbook Air models.

The 2012 version running on the Intel I5 can now be obtained for only $599. Of course, these are the cheapest around and they are refurbished models. Check out a retailer near you to see the cheaper Macbook Air around.
