In a matter of months from now, Chevrolet will be launching the next-gen Camaro. The carmaker has already confirmed that the Camaro is going to be smaller than its predecessors.
This is because Chevrolet is building the Camaro on the ATS platform that was used on the Cadillac ATS. This ensures that it is smaller and the move comes with the aim of dragging the weight of the future Camaro down.
Well, Chevrolet achieved just that as they managed to unveil a lighter Camaro at the recent motoring event. The vehicle is said to be about 200 pounds lighter than before and this means that the car is going to be better optimized for power.
Together with the newly developed engines produced by Chevrolet, the Camaro promises a top-notch performance that may well be better than the Mustang. Of course, Chevrolet has yet to release the performance figures and this will have to wait until the car gets released later this year.
