KitKat 4.4 seems to be draining down the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S4 quiet fast. However fear not because if you own the handset there are some things that you can do about it.
To start with you might want to install Better Battery Stats, this is found in the common App Store. You should then allow it run for around 24 hours and don’t interrupt it. You can then check the results in the app and this will tell you what app is draining down your battery.
Once you have found out which apps are draining the battery down you can then install System Tuner and isolate and kill the processes. However to do this your handset has to be rooted. There could be alternative apps out there that will do the same thing. System Tuner will have no effect on Android or the hardware of the phone.
Google may be working on the next version of Android, possibly Android 4.4.3, so this may be more bug free.
