Love it or hate, it, the iPhone 5C is here to stay. Apple shocked the world last a couple of weeks ago by releasing two iPhone models simultaneously this year. While the iPhone 5S, successor the iPhone 5, was expected at the event, what many people didn’t know was that Apple was working on a low-cost iPhone model by the name of iPhone 5C which was unveiled together.
The multi-colored iPhone 5C is still under scrutiny as many have found its color options tacky given that the iPhone brand has normally been associated with a premium and luxurious product.
Nevertheless, with Apple discontinuing the iPhone 5 with immediate effect, it is the iPhone 5C that will appeal to those looking for a cheaper iPhone. At the same time, we are sure iPhone 5 users are shocked to see the model they bought less than a year ago be marked as ‘EOL’ in stores so quickly. We’re not sure if this will affect the resale value of the iPhone 5 but if we had to guess the answer would be yes.
In addition to the iPhone 5C and 5S, there was also iOS 7 which was finally released to the public. So far the new UI has been met with much accolade however what hasn’t is the huge dip in battery life which we hope Apple will fix with another update very soon – iOS 7.1 probably.
