Chevrolet is currently developing a new EV car and it will be known as the Bolt. The vehicle is expected to make its debut later this year and many can’t wait to see the car in action.
Unfortunately, the Bolt’s development has been affected and it won’t be coming out too soon. In detail, Chevrolet is facing a name crisis with the EV car since the term Bolt is already patented by Japanese automaker, Yamaha.
On the bright side of thing, Yamaha has given permission for Chevrolet to use the name Bolt for the EV car. The only catch is that Chevrolet needs an approval from USPT. If the latter denies it, then Chevrolet will have to come up with a different name for the ‘Bolt’.
As of this moment, everything is on track and the EV is en route to be known as the Bolt. The car is expected to come out with a price tag of $35,000 and it can travel up to 200miles on a single charge.
