The latest Ford Focus S have enjoyed quite a great launch due to its affordability and promising value. Similarly, the Honda Accord continues to wow the world as it is among the cheapest mid-size sedan in the market. Today, we shall see which of the two is the better buy?
Both cars can accommodate a total of 5-passengers as they run on the FWD system. Size-wise, the Accord is obviously the larger than the Ford Focus S. The former is a mid-size sedan while the latter is a compact sedan.

In figures, the compact sedan produces 160hp at 146 ft-lbs of torque with a power to wait ratio of 18.2 lbs/hp. The Focus S is able to achieve 26mpg on city roads and 36mpg on highways.
The engine capacity of the Focus S is not as big as the Accord but it offers more power for its size. The Focus S is also 8.3% more fuel efficient than the Honda Accord. Retailing from $16,200, the Focus S is $5,480 cheaper than the Accord, making it the more desirable purchase.
Of course, the Accord is a great vehicle as well and it depreciates much slower than its American counterpart. However, the only reason to why one should get an Accord is due to the more space that the sedan has got to offer. Otherwise, do stick to the Ford Focus S.
