If you are a Motorola Moto G user, then you are in for a treat. Motorola is about to launch the highly anticipated Android 5.1 update to the smartphone but this comes with a catch. The Moto G has to be from Canadian carrier, Rodgers.
The telco teased that they will be rolling out the Android 5.1 update to the Moto G next week. The update will be phased out OTA and it will be replacing the Android 4.4.4 KitKat entirely. Once the update is applied, Moto G users will get to experience every new feature offered by the Lollipop.
Unfortunately, we have no word on when the Lollipop will arrive on the Moto G here in the US. However, we believe that once the OS is phased out by Rodgers, we can expect US carriers to follow suit. Hence, it is safe to assume the update to arrive somewhere this month.
