It is clear that the consumers are now looking for greener options when it comes to picking up a new car but despite the evidence, Honda is still taking their own sweet time with the hybrid upgrade.
Unlike Honda, Toyota has already started offering the hybrid option on their Toyota RAV4 model. In fact, it has been reported that the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has helped increase the Toyota RAV4 sales by 10%.
As for Honda, while there were talks about them possibly offering the hybrid option on the 2017 Honda CR-V model, no such model was ever released. It is now believed that Honda will be waiting for the 2018 model to arrive before they start offering their customers the hybrid engine.
The question now is whether it will be too late? The Honda CR-V is still leading now despite the obvious disadvantage but we do not know if they will be able to keep that lead for long.
