Things definitely did not turn out well for the Ford Ranger the first time around as the low sales number forced Ford to remove it from their US lineup but maybe things will be different this time around.
In the past, people were looking for ways to cut down on fuel cost and since trucks back then were such a fuel guzzler, it made sense that trucks popularity was going to be affected but things are different here in the US now.
People are looking for trucks and SUVs which means there can be no better time for Ford to bring back the Ford Ranger. They won’t have to do much either since the Ford Ranger is still being develop for markets like Australia.
Even though Ford had not announced anything yet, Spies have already spotted them testing out the Ford Ranger here in the US. It is believed that the Ford Ranger will be built at their Michigan plant and that production will start in 2017 after the Ford Focus and Ford C-Max contract ends.
