The Volkswagen Golf R might be one of the top performance models in the market but with what the Ford Focus RS has to offer right now, the Golf R is still far from actually threatening the performance model.
The Volkswagen Golf R currently comes with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway.
The Ford Focus RS, on the other hand, will come with a 2.3 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will also be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Golf R will come with a few useful features like traction control, stability control and dusk sensing headlights while the Focus RS will come with features like cornering lights, fog lights, and DRL.
Do you think the Golf R still stand a chance?
