Android 4.4.3 KitKat Plans For Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 3

The Android KitKat was released at the end of last year and since January Samsung have been beginning to roll out the updates, however some handsets are still waiting to be updated now.

Updates for the Galaxy S3 began in the United States last month by carriers including Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile. There are still carriers which haven’t even started updating handsets yet and these include Verizon and AT&T.

Australia and Canada are two other countries which have also confirmed the Galaxy S3 update.

One of the first devices to receive their updates has been the Galaxy S4. The majority of US carriers have begun providing their customers with the updates. Although AT&T were amongst the first carriers to begin updating devices, it ha to stop halfway through so that some features could be improved. The update has now been redeployed since June 6th. Optus will begin updating from July whilst Vodafone will be updating throughout June. Carriers including MmetroPCS, Telstra and C Spire have not yet made a start on handing out updates to the Galaxy S4

The update for the Note 2 has been slow paced. At this moment in time only Sprint have started updating devices. It is predicted that SFR from France and Vodafone from Australia will begin updating in June and that Optus is Australia will begin in July. Canada’s Rogers and Spain’s Vodafone have given their confirmation that they will be releasing updates but have at this moment in time not provided us with a time of when this will take place.

The update have been completely rolled out for the Note 3 in the United States and Canada.Countries including Taiwan, Morocco, Chile and Saudi Arabia have also started rolling out the update for SM-N900 user. In Hong Kong and Singapore SM-7005 users will now also begin to have their handsets updated. Australian customers however are going to have to wait until the update becomes available either in June or July.
