Over at the LA Auto Show last year there was the launch of the Chevrolet Colorado and it came with one problem, there wasn’t enough competition on the market for it. The Ford and RAM were inactive, while the Toyota Tacoma badly needed a refresh. The Nissan Frontier, another competitor had been around for a long time and this too could do with a face-lift.
The Colorado does happen to be a very sturdy car and this is thanks to the hydroformed steel frame. It comes in a choice of two gas engines and we have heard that there could be a diesel coming our way. The truck is stylish and it does have a somewhat young look to it, this is something that isn’t very common in pickups but it does doe the vehicle justice.
Chevrolet gave the Colorado the two tier loading system that is able to boost up the total amount of gear that can be carried, but the rack is optional. The Colorado typically had the chrome grille, however the Z71 version comes with a grille in gunmetal.
The interior has a touch screen of 8 inches and this offers the most recent MyLink software. There is also a display of 3.4 inches and this gives the driver details about how much fuel is used. The car comes with a total of six airbags, with one being a side curtain.
It has the 2.5 litre in-line four cylinder engine and you can go for the 3.6 litre V6 engine. It is thought that the Chevrolet Colorado is going to arrive on the market at some point during the fall.
